Construction builders: London coverage

Structural and groundworks enquiries are welcome from every London borough. Older housing and shared walls shape most jobs here.

Coverage

Construction builders serving every London borough

We take on structural and general building work in every part of Greater London.

Structural openings in period terraces, steelwork for extensions, brickwork and groundworks: the same principles apply across London, but the details change with the property, the access and the local council.

Many London projects involve party walls, tight access and on-street parking or skip permits, so we plan logistics as part of every quote.

Site visits are arranged at your address, in any London borough.

The boroughs with the oldest homes

Valuation Office Agency data for 2024 shows that 65.1% of properties in Kensington and Chelsea were built before 1919, the highest share in England and Wales. Hammersmith and Fulham (56.0%) and Haringey (54.3%) are close behind. [1]

Party wall notices

You must tell your neighbours if you plan building work on or near a shared boundary or party wall in England and Wales. A party wall agreement is separate from planning permission and building regulations approval. [2]

Terraced streets

Terraced houses in London averaged £642,000 in July 2026 in the UK House Price Index. Opening up a terrace wall almost always means steelwork, so it needs a structural engineer’s design. [3]
